Houses with destroyed facades and others with damage to their structures left a series of earthquakes recorded this Saturday and Sunday in the Esmeraldas province, in northern Ecuador, according to reports from the rescue forces, which highlighted that there are no victims. .

Some thirty affected houses and other constructions with serious effects, in addition to a short in the electrical energy, were the consequences left by the earthquake of 6 degrees of intensity (reported on Saturday night), and its successive aftershocks, one of them , from 5.1 (this Sunday).
The Risk and Emergency Management Service indicated that after a preliminary evaluation, 30 houses and other buildings were damaged, such as two medical centers and the Integrated Security Service ECU911.
Several towns in Esmeraldas experienced aftershocks after the earthquake, which experts reported as a swarm of earthquakes that kept residents alert in places like Atacames, a city where the strongest aftershock was recorded after the movement.
The Oceanographic Institute of the Ecuadorian Navy (Inocar) informed the public that the earthquake did not meet the conditions to trigger a tsunami alert, which in some way reassured a little more the people who were affected by the telluric movement.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health reported that the Hospital Delfina Torres de Esmeraldas suffered damage to the masonry and infrastructure.
The National Electricity Corporation reported that the decision was made to cut off the supply to avoid mishaps with the power lines.
The earthquake was felt in other provinces of Ecuador such as Manabí, Pichincha, Bolívar, Los Ríos, Guayas, Esmeraldas, Santo Domingo, Cotopaxi, Carchi, Imbabura and Pastaza.
