Russia – Dr. Anton Ivanov, a specialist in medical and surgical oncology, points out that the characteristic symptoms of kidney cancer appear at an advanced stage. That is, when the tumor becomes very large.
According to him, these symptoms are a classic triad – hematuria, change in urine color due to admixture of blood, clear formation and dull pain at the site of the kidney. This condition is often accompanied by high blood pressure (secondary arterial hypertension).
He said in an interview with Gazeta.Ru: “The tumor can cause pressure on the blood vessels and a permanent rise in the level of arterial blood pressure that cannot be reduced by conventional treatment, in addition to blood clots in the inferior vena cava and deep veins in the legs.”
He adds: “Unfortunately, the rate of diagnosis of kidney cancer in the early stages is still much lower than what is required. Because, as is the case with other types of tumors, kidney cancer does not reveal itself at an early stage. The disease is often discovered by chance during preventive examination, when a quarter of patients already have metastases. Therefore, regular examinations must be performed.”
According to him, as the disease develops, the infected person loses weight without justification, and also suffers from chronic fatigue, sweating, and fever.
He says: “Science does not yet have a clear answer to the question regarding the causes of kidney cancer. But there are known factors that significantly increase the risk of developing a tumor: chronic kidney inflammation, gender (men get sick 1.5-3 times more often than women), old age, smoking, obesity, hereditary diseases (Hippel-Lindau disease, Perthes-Hugha-dopa syndrome, sclerosis). tuberosity sclerosis tuberosa).
