Detecting more than 26 tons of sugar without receipts

On March 27, the Market Management Department of Ho Chi Minh City said that it had just coordinated with relevant units to detect 530 bags of sugar (equivalent to 26.5 tons) on the packaging without showing the date of production. , expiry date, no invoices and documents proving the origin of goods.

Previously, on March 25, the Information Management Team No. 3 (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information Management) coordinated with Team 7, Economic Police Department of the City Police and the Police of Ward 2 (District 6) to inspect the warehouse and points. commodity trading at the address 82B Cao Van Lau, Ward 2, District 6.

Through inspection, functional forces discovered 530 bags (26,500 kg) of refined sugar of all kinds, still in unused packaging, originating from Thailand. All these shipments on the package do not show the date of production, expiry date, have original labels in foreign languages ​​but no sub-labels in Vietnamese, no invoices and documents to prove the origin of goods, no quality documentation attached. The total value of this shipment is 450.5 million VND.

Information Management Team No. 3 made a record and temporarily seized all of the above goods for handling according to regulations.

Before that, on March 23, the Information Management Team No. 2 inspected 4 trucks with control plates 50H-045.93, 50H-064.68, 71C-09353, 50H-08022 and a storage and trading point of goods at the branch. Hoang Nam Transport Trading Production Co., Ltd (address at 158 ​​TA13 Street, Quarter 3, Thoi An Ward, District 12).

Through the inspection results, the functional forces determined that this unit trading gas cylinders did not have a certificate of eligibility; illegally seize and collect gas cylinders; ineligible means of transport; the driver of the means of transport is not trained in safety techniques as prescribed; goods with signs of counterfeit trademark…

QLTT Team No. 2 has sealed and temporarily seized all goods including 1,186 gas cylinders without invoices and documents, showing signs of counterfeiting of trademarks and 4 trucks mentioned above, which were transferred to the warehouse of Thu Duc Gas Company.
