Details of the project of the first high-speed train line and its implementation rates x 11 pieces of information

The seventh day presents in 11 information everything you need to know regarding the first high-speed train line that is being implemented in Egypt, extending from Ain Sukhna to Marsa Matrouh and linking the Red Sea to the Mediterranean, the most prominent cities that will connect it and what has been accomplished so far from the project, through the following report:

1 The project extends over a length of 660 km.

2- The project starts from Ain Sukhna on the Red Sea coast to Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean coast.

3- The project passes during its course in the New Administrative Capital, 6th of October City, Alexandria, Borg El Arab and El Alamein.

4- This project will be implemented in two phases, where the first phase extends 460 km from Ain Sukhna to El Alamein, and its implementation is planned to be completed within two years.

5- The second phase of the project extends from El Alamein to Marsa Matrouh with a length of 200.

6- The number of the project stations is 20, including 8 express stations and 12 regional stations.

7- The design speed of the project is 250 km/h.

8- An operating plan for the project, following its implementation, will include 5 express trains with an operational speed of 200 km / h, and 24 regional trains that will run at a speed of 160 km / h.

9- The cost of implementing this project amounts to regarding 9 billion dollars.

10- The project is being implemented by a consortium of Egyptian companies and Siemens International.

11- The dirt bridge works are being completed for the project track and the construction of the stations is underway.
