Egypt – Today, Monday, the Arab League Council will hold a meeting at the level of permanent delegates, to discuss political issues in preparation for the meeting of Arab foreign ministers.
The draft agenda includes 12 items, including the report of the Secretary-General of the Arab League on joint Arab social and development action, and the emergency response plan to deal with the economic and social repercussions of the Israeli occupation’s aggression once morest the State of Palestine, as this item was included based on a memorandum submitted by the State of Palestine.
The draft agenda will also include an item on the progress made in completing the requirements of the Arab Free Trade Area and the establishment of the Arab Customs Union, in addition to the Arab Strategy for Youth, Peace and Security (2023-2028) and the Arab Strategy for Vocational and Technical Education and Training – Updated (2023).
In addition, the draft agenda will discuss an item regarding a special meeting file entitled (A New Social Contract: Dialogue is our path towards a safe, just, and sustainable future) to consider creating a mechanism to link social development institutions and banks, under the umbrella of the League of Arab States.
The project includes four topics submitted by Saudi Arabia, including celebrating the Day of the Martyr of Health, and (sharing successful experiences in the health sector, and also includes an item on antimicrobial resistance).
The draft agenda will include an item regarding (any new work, which includes a memorandum from Bahrain regarding Arab cooperation in the field of women’s economic development, and a proposal for Arab cybersecurity, and also includes a proposal submitted for Arab Vision 2045 to achieve hope through thought, will and action) regarding financial technology, innovation and transformation.
