Al-Marsad newspaper: Finance Minister Muhammad Al-Jadaan said that a unified regulator for the insurance sector in the Kingdom will soon be established with the aim of developing the sector and facilitating compliance processes between regulators.
Al-Jadaan added during the “Saudi Insurance” symposium: We currently have regulators, which is the health sector, and the second is comprehensive, which is the central bank, and the goal is to have one regulator.
He continued: I thank the Central Bank for its efforts to develop the financial market as well as the insurance sector, and it is time for an independent body to manage the insurance system.
