Details of the defamation of the citizen “Faisal Al-Talihi” and his brother-in-law, who is Syrian, and the disclosure of their crime and the punishment imposed on them

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Ministry of Commerce denounced the citizen “Faisal bin Salem Al-Talihi”, a Saudi, and the resident, “Bassam Farouk Al-Babili” of Syrian nationality, following a court ruling was issued condemning them to the crime of “commercial cover-up”.

This started when the ministry received a report from a resident regarding the crime of covering up a decoration workshop in southern Riyadh, where it was found that the citizen had concealed the resident due to the family relationship between the two parties.

And it became clear that the cover-up was the brother of the cover-up’s wife, and thus the citizen’s involvement and enabling him to engage in an unlicensed commercial activity by taking advantage of his commercial registry was proven.

Upon inspecting the facility’s premises, it was proven that the two parties committed a cover-up crime by possessing the facility’s ATM cards to withdraw funds resulting from his illegal activity and keep them in cash in a safe in an office in his home.

The ministry explained that the ruling issued by the Criminal Court in Riyadh included imposing a fine on the violators, and defaming them at their expense.

The consequential penalties prescribed by law were “closing the facility, liquidating the activity, writing off the commercial register, preventing the concealed one from engaging in commercial activity, collecting zakat, fees and taxes, deporting the concealed resident from the Kingdom and not allowing him to return to it to work.”
