The people of the area complained regarding the dumping of these quantities of bags of distilled water, which were found, according to the date written on them, to be expired.
For his part, Dr. Ismail El-Araby, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Population in the Red Sea, said that these quantities are actually bags of distilled water, and the pharmaceutical inspection was notified to prepare an inspection committee and find out its source if it was dumped by a pharmacy following its expiry date.
He added that the Medicines Authority has been notified to clarify the code written on it and to ensure that it is related to health or not, as this water is used in the manufacture of candy and is used by candy manufacturing stores, as well as in the manufacture of some other foodstuffs.
And the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Red Sea added, in exclusive statements to “The Seventh Day”, that there were no reports to the Health Directorate regarding children drinking distilled water and the occurrence of any fatigue for them because of that, stressing that the health has notified the pharmaceutical inspection to find out the source of the distilled water bags and whether they belong to health. or not.
