Ever since Neymar left Barcelona in 2017, he has been linked with a return several times. Now Sport states that a comeback in Catalonia can be brought up again.
The Spanish newspaper states that Barcelona club president Joan Laporta wants to strike with a “bomb” in the upcoming summer window. The desired name in the “medium term” is probably Manchester City’s Erling Braut Haaland, but such a deal would probably be difficult to resolve.
Therefore, Neymar’s name is on the wallpaper. The Al-Hilal star’s contract expires in the summer of 2025 and thus Barcelona could have signed the 32-year-old on a free transfer.
Gerard Romero, who via his Twitch channel, stated this summer that Neymar offered his services to Barcelona.
Sport states that Laporta has an “ace up his sleeve” that there will be negotiations with Neymar, who is on a monster contract in Saudi Arabia. The star agent Pini Zahavi, who has done several deals with Barcelona in recent years, was involved when Neymar left Barcelona for PSG and Zahavi reportedly received a compensation of 10.7 million euros, a little more than 120 million kroner in today’s money value.
