The commercial title of the movie: The Sons of the Lord, by Tunisian director Iman Ben Hussein, changed its Arabic title, from: Sons of the Lord, to: Destiny.
The tape was shown in Tunisian halls on October 18, while Beirut watched it for the first time as part of the programming of the Beirut International Women’s Film Festival, and it was well received. There was a collective curiosity to know which image our star Takla Chamoun had in the composition of the tape, especially since the director is completing her first feature film after a series of documentaries and shorts that knew many successes.
“Destiny” is a very special film in its theme, formulation of its image, and the management of its three prominent actors: Takla – in the role of Katia, Wajeha Jendoubi – Kehna, and Madi Ramili – Dr. Hafnawi. They gathered around a text drafted by Iman with: Rabia Al-Safi and Younis Farhi, and the photography was directed by Walid Tiahi. As for the music, it was very remarkable for its familiarity with the spectacle, which is dominated by dark colors, in line with the negative climate of events that fluctuate between corruption and deterioration of morals, and the vision that is not optimistic about the future of things according to development. events.
The text passes through an expressive scene on some Tunisian titles, and the performance methods harmonize with a distinct ability to diversify the presence of each actor with unity in the spirit of all the scenes, which secured an exemplary communication between the parties to the film, which was shown in its full value by the editor, Ahmed Hamdi.
In this context, director Ben Hussein is preparing for two parallel projects, the first is a cinematic titled: The Godmother – whose heroine’s name will be a surprise – and a 20-episode series dealing with a social issue. And she talked about the possibility of using a global name according to what is facilitated by the production budget, and announced that she is talking for the first time about her happiness in cooperating with actress Takla Chamoun, who was an example to follow in communication and work service.
