It’s almost time to launch the new raid for Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Witch Queen. The Disciple’s Vow Raid will launch tomorrow morning at 10am PT. A new trailer gives a taste of what Guardians can expect, but in a jubilant tone, as there’s a special 24-hour contest mode opportunity and a world-first race.
If you thought you had discovered many dark secrets in the world of the Throne of Savathûn, here is another one for your next challenge. You will need to enter the pyramid ship that is in the swamps and see what awaits you and your team.
The anticipated raid is accompanied by a special world premiere competition. With a live stream that starts when the raid is launched, the first team to complete it will receive special belts. Additionally, everyone who completes the Disciple’s Vow within the first 24 hours will be able to walk away with rewards.
Any team can participate in the raid, which will run in contest mode for the first 24 hours. Those who complete the raid within those first 24 hours will be able to purchase special raid-themed items through Bungie Rewards.
Bungie has also issued a stern warning regarding attempts to play on Steam Deck. Since Destiny 2 “features PvE and PvP combat in a dynamic, ever-changing world. Maintaining the integrity of our security is a complex and long-term process,” reads Bungie’s statement on its decision. This decision is motivated by the fact that certain platforms “might provide means for malicious actors to compromise our own anti-cheat security systems developed by Bungie” and warns that anyone attempting to log in through Steam Deck “will trigger our security systems. automated that will consider the use as a potential threat to the community”.
