For the 56-year-old mother, that’s too much of a good thing: “You have to work, child! I’ve been working since I was 17,” she says, appalled!
The Geissens are approaching a new chapter in their lives: Davina (19) and Shania (17) are leaving the nest at home and moving into their first apartment of their own. But things aren’t going quite smoothly. In the latest episode of “The Geissens – a terribly glamorous family” you can see how, in the middle of the rein stress, a dispute between Carmen and her eldest daughter arises. The reason: the money.
Because while many other teenagers have to work hard to earn a living, the Geiss daughters seem to have a different plan. “We have to get money from you in a month, for food, groceries,” Davina explains to her mother. Too much of a good thing for the 56-year-old.
“Tell me, are you crazy?” Asks the former model, horrified. After all, Robert (58) and she are already paying the rent for the 150 square meter luxury apartment. “I don’t think you have them all anymore,” she snaps at her eldest daughter. However, Davina continues to insist on being taken care of – excerpt or not: «That’s the law! You have to finance me until I’m 21,” she claims. Carmen has heard enough: «No, I don’t have to! You have to work, kid! I was already working when I was 17.”
No cleaner for Davina and Shania
The millionaire also explains to her children that they should make a cleaning plan in their new shared apartment and split up the work. However, her daughter is clearly disinterested. “Or we’ll get a cleaning lady twice a week!” says Davina. However, Carmen makes it clear to the two that they cannot expect any support from them: “You have to get by yourself. There’s no way we’re going to pay a cleaning lady!”
Robert, on the other hand, takes a pragmatic approach: “We pay two kilos of rice, three chicken breasts and a bottle of ketchup every week,” he says teasingly. Davina can’t even laugh at her father’s comment and brings up the heavier artillery: “Why don’t you pay for our food? Do you want your children to die?” After all, Carmen ensures peace and quiet in the Geiss house as usual: “You can come and eat with us every day, children.”
