Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic insists he is ready to appear in Game 5 of the NBA playoffs once morest the Los Angeles Clippers, Thursday (2/5) WIB despite spraining his right knee.
“Not good,” Doncic answered when asked regarding the condition of his knee. “The conditions might be better, but that’s the fact.”
The Slovenian basketball player suffered a knee injury at the start of Game 3 of the match between the Mavericks and Clippers, which is now tied 2-2 following the Clippers won Game 4 in Dallas, Monday (29/4).
Doncic admitted that he had received treatment on his knee. He also admitted to suffering from problems with his upper respiratory tract for several days.
“I’m fine. I’m ready to appear,” stressed Doncic.
Doncic, the NBA’s leading regular-season scorer, is a finalist for NBA MVP.

He posted a triple-double as the Mavericks cut back from a 31-point deficit but still lost to the Clippers in Game 4.
Doncic admitted he likely wouldn’t have played if Game 5 wasn’t so important. Even so, he emphasized that he was ready to give his best performance.
“I’ve been in a situation like this, playing through injury. I just tried to appear, play as well as possible to ensure the team wins,” concluded Doncic. (AFP/Z-1)
