Tempers flared toward the end of the Islanders-Flyers duel on Saturday night, thanks in large part to two former Canadiens players.
The first of the two, Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov, kicked things off with a solid check on Kevin Hayes late in the third period. Present on the ice at that time, the other former CH involved, Flyers forward Nicolas Deslauriers, immediately rushed at Romanov.

It all led to a big melee in which Flyers defenseman Tony DeAngelo and Islanders forward Oliver Wahlstrom got into an intense fight.
