Saudi photographer Khaled Al-Enezi revealed the story of the image of the archaeological masterpiece in the desert sands, which caught the attention of the Saudis.
He told Al-Arabiya.net that he always goes out to explore and photograph in the deserts of Al-Ula and always searches for ancient archaeological inscriptions and strange rock formations using a camera and a drone.
He continued, “While filming in the moderate desert and mountains (it is a desert and mountainous area and one of the most important beautiful and picturesque tourist areas in Al Ula) I saw this rock that was formed and transformed thousands of years ago and waited until the sun went down in order to get a clear and clear video that shows its features better.
Al-Enezi explained that the best times for filming are at sunrise and sunset, and he named the image: the fish of the desert, noting that the shot found a great interaction from the pioneers of social media, due to the severity of the archaeological landmark’s resemblance to the fish.

And regarding his passion for photography, he mentioned that he started at the age of 17 at the time of Nokia phones. He said that he discovered himself when his cousin from Riyadh took him on a tour inside Mada’in Saleh, and he was filming a video of the palaces inside and out, and his cousin expressed his admiration for his photography.
He also continued to practice photography, and contributed to presenting some examples of his artistic production in a photographic exhibition on palm trees organized by the Society for Culture and Arts in Jeddah.
He also submitted a proposal to the Royal Commission for Al-Ula to make a photo exhibition for the photographers of Al-Ula to display their work to each photographer and how he created his lens and produced pictures of the most important tourist attractions in Al-Ula.
He concluded by stressing that he always makes sure that the scene or the place he wants to photograph should take the full frame of the picture, and that there are no people in the picture, as well as choosing the time of filming is very important, as it is the most important element in photography that affects the beauty of the picture.
