Desalts on Sunday | Michel Désautels will retire in June

Michel Désautels will retire at the end of the season Desalts on Sunday. He will host his last show on Sunday, June 18.




“It is with mixed feelings that I have decided to retire at the end of the season. Leaving the House that has been mine for 50 years gives me a good shot of the blues. But this feeling quickly fades when I think of the chance I had to practice a wonderful job, with colleagues who sincerely believe in the relevance of public service. I never entered the office backwards. I leave with a smile on my face, ”said Michel Désautels, in a press release.

Michel Désautels began his journalistic career at Radio-Canada at the Toronto station in 1972. From 1977, he hosted special information programs in Montreal, such as major election evenings.

On Radio-Canada television, he was one of the hosts of the weekly version of the magazine Point alongside Jean-François Lépine, Daniel Pinard and Gil Courtemanche.

Michel Désautels is also the author of three books, namely Pierre Gauvreau The three times of a peace (1997), novels Smiley (1998) et Next week I want to die (2000).

Since fall 2013, he hosts Desalts on Sundaywhich he will leave at the end of this 10e season. For 4 years, he participated daily in the morning show All one morning.
