The Hawks will have Derrick Favors, who has reached an agreement with the Georgia organization to join the team during that time, for a 10-day period; reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The veteran interior player was without a team since in October Houston decided to leave him out of the squad that would start the season. With the Texas Favors team, he would only play one friendly game, in which he spent eight minutes on the court to get three rebounds and one assist.
Beyond his testimonial stint with the Rockets, the center arrives in Atlanta praised for a solid NBA career that spans 12 seasons, spending nine of them as a member of the Utah Jazz. In 2021-22, as part of the Oklahoma City Thunder, he averaged 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 16.7 minutes per night.
The arrival of Favors to the Hawks responds to the need for the inside game of the team led by Nate McMillan, since Clint Capela’s physical problems do not stop subsiding and he is ruled out at least to play this coming morning once morest the Milwaukee Bucks.
