Deputy Olivera confirmed her departure from the RN bench and will continue as an independent. BioBioChile sources confirmed rapprochements with Common Sense, the new political party that seeks to raise former PRI president Rodrigo Caramori.

The independent deputy, Erika Olivera, confirmed his departure from National Renewal caucus, to which he belonged for the last four years.

This was stated in a statement where he explained his reasons for leaving the opposition bench in the Chamber of Deputies.

According to BioBioChile sources, after his departure, he will remain independent, although close to Common sense, a new political party that promotes the former president of the PRI, Rodrigo Caramori.

Let us remember that the latter presided over the Independent Regionalist Party, the one that was dissolved after the last elections, where it only managed to elect an independent parliamentarian.

According to reports, the new conglomerate will seek to add former members of Chile Vamos and the DC. In fact, among its new adherents is the former conventional Rodrigo Logan.

Also, the arrival of Mario Overflows to the new political conglomerate, something that has not been confirmed by the former president of RN.

“After a long and deep reflection, I have decided to stop belonging to the National Renewal bench, of which I have been a part since 2018,” says the Deputy Olivera.

“I know it is not easy to make a decision like this, it is much easier to stay in the comfortable zone and make political calculations,” he adds.

“But, my rigorous sports training urges me to be honest and recognize that the value issues and my priorities are not the same as those of the community of which I am a part today,” he acknowledged.

“I am not afraid of criticism either because I have the peace of mind that I have never betrayed my values ​​and when I asked for an opportunity I did not compromise my principles,” he points out.

“I have to thank, especially, Mario Desbordes, Paulina Núñez, Cristián Monckeberg and Francisco Chahuán for the support they gave me and my work”, he finally highlighted.

“For my part, I will continue working on the same issues as before and it is likely that, many times, I will coincide with the RN bench and not others,” he said.
