Deprivation of liberty for a 16-year-old adolescent for raping a 10-year-old girl

A 16-year-old adolescent was deprived of liberty for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl in Tucupita, Delta Amacuro state.

The information was released by the Public Ministry, through a press release, in which it reveals what happened in the Ceiba Mocha community, in the Virgen del Valle parish.

Apparently the minor was with her eight and 11-year-old sisters when the young man subdued her and took her to an abandoned house, where he abused her.

Once he got home, they told his mother what happened and she complained to the subject, who denied the facts. Given this, she went to the delegation of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc) to denounce the abuse against her daughter.

Once the medical tests that corroborated the complaint were carried out. A Cicpc commission appeared at the perpetrator’s home to apprehend him and place him at the disposal of the Public Ministry and initiate the corresponding criminal process.

At the presentation hearing, the 5th Delta Amacuro Prosecutor’s Office charged the adolescent with the alleged commission of a sexual act with a particularly vulnerable victim.

Once the elements of conviction exposed by the prosecutor’s representation had been evaluated, the 1st Court of Control for Adolescent Section in the aforementioned jurisdiction issued the aforementioned deprivation of liberty against the young man and ordered that he be temporarily confined in a care entity located in Tucupita.
