Deportivo Cali would receive a million-dollar lawsuit for non-compliance

Deportivo Cali is going through a delicate crisis, both sporting and economic, and now a lawsuit would come from a former player that would increase the problems.

The Valle del Cauca team is last in the Betplay Dimayor 2023-I League with 8 points obtained in 10 dates played and as if that were not enough, it is committed to the issue of relegation in which in 2024 it would be fighting directly to save the category.

In the financial part, the situation is not encouraging either, since this year there have been complaints from players with late payments.

Palavecino would sue Deportivo Cali

To all this would be added the demand of the player Agustín Palavecino for an economic breach, according to what the city media mention.

“????????#AgustínPalavecino is thinking of suing #DeportivoCali for non-compliance. They owe him money ???? for his transfer to #RiverPlate ????????. The player has not received a positive response from the manager of the sugar team. #ZonaLibreDeHumo”, stated the space Free Zone of Smoke.

The sale of Palavecino to River Plate was around 2 million dollars for a percentage of 65% of the soccer player’s rights. Of this, a part would go to the player who appears not to have received his.

It should also be noted that Cali on several occasions denounced delays in these payments by the Argentine club and even took the case in a lawsuit to FIFA.

Palavecino’s demand, for the moment, is nothing more than a press version, but it is surely an issue that does not stop worrying within a club that is experiencing hard times in all aspects.
