According to the WHO, the introduction of the two malaria vaccines (RTS,S and R21) into the routine vaccination schedules of 19 African countries is planned in 2024. The RTS,S has been tested since 2019 in “pilot programs ” from some African countries including Kenya, Ghana and Malawi and in a limited number of locations.
