One of the main actions carried out by the dependency is to provide technical assistance to the Day Centers and Life Centers of the Government of the Valley with “accompaniment with trained and expert personnel to guarantee that the attention not only in health but also in well-being, coordinated with the Ministry of Social Development, be the best for our older adults”, added Lesmes, noting that it seeks to implement other benefits for this population, including equipment for the practice of exercises.
Among the efforts, the monitoring of the conditions of authorization of care places for older adults, including nursing homes, according to current regulations, stood out. “We constantly monitor and accompany people who manage these places and guarantee better quality care,” said María Cristina Lesmes.
