“Dental Health” in a brochure in “Braille”

The University Dental Hospital at the University of Sharjah celebrated the International Braille Day, which was approved by the United Nations on the fourth of January every year, by issuing and distributing educational materials printed in the “Braille” method on oral and dental health and post-procedure dental instructions to reduce the risk of dental problems and diseases. Oral health, improve the quality of life for people with visual impairments.
This came during a practical workshop organized by the University Dental Hospital at the University of Sharjah through the mobile dental clinic, in cooperation with the Emirates Society for the Visually Impaired, where awareness was spread regarding the most important preventive measures to reduce the risk of oral and dental diseases.
Dr. Ahmed Hamdan, Dean of the College of Dentistry at the University of Sharjah, confirmed that these community initiatives are in line with the strategy of the College of Dentistry and the University of Sharjah, which aims to serve and develop the community, and coincides with the University of Sharjah’s celebrations of the Silver Jubilee and the 25th anniversary of its establishment.
