Dental equipment for health services of Caazapá

Asuncion, IP Agency.- On the occasion of the Government Day, yesterday Friday in Caazapá, dental equipment was delivered to six medical centers in the department with a total investment of G. 250 million.

The Minister of Health, María Teresa Barán, accompanied the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, in the activity that also included the delivery of G. 223,875,000 in resources for eleven districts, as part of the Results-Based Transfer Model (Fobares).

The services that will benefit are the General Higinio Morínigo Health Center, the San Juan Nepomuceno Hospital, the San Carlos Hospital, the Caazapá District Hospital, the Corralito San Miguel Hospital and the Torres Cué Hospital.

At the General Higinio Morínigo Health Center, a fully equipped dental office was delivered, including a new dental chair with a compressor and an X-ray machine with a developing box.

The San Juan Nepomuceno Hospital received a compressor, an autoclave for sterilization and an X-ray machine with a developing box. The San Carlos USF was equipped with a turbine and a micromotor, while the Caazapá District Hospital received a turbine and an X-ray machine with a developing box.

In addition, USF Corralito San Miguel and USF Torres Cué were equipped with turbines and micromotors. This equipment will allow health professionals to offer better service to their patients. The delivery also included surgical instruments, inspection, supplies and medications for 15 dental services, as well as educational flipcharts.

The Ministry of Health highlights the delivery as a step towards improving the care and prevention of oral diseases in rural areas of the country.
