A fire that broke out yesterday, Tuesday, at the old Copenhagen Stock Exchange, caused extensive damage, leaving half of the historic building in ruins.
According to Danish officials, the fire completely destroyed the interior of the building, with only the exterior walls standing.
THE fire caused massive damage to the 17th-century building, with its 54m-tall obelisk collapsing yesterday morning in a scene reminiscent of the 2019 fire in Notre Dame.
Yesterday followingnoon, the fire department announced that the fire has been brought under control, but its sources are still burning in parts of the building where access is difficult. Besides, a lot of damage was caused by the water that the firefighters threw.
