In 2023, Deniz Hümmet scored nine goals in 27 games for Kalmar in the Allsvenskan. Now it is clear that the striker will continue his career in Djurgården. The 27-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the club.

– It feels incredibly inspiring and it is a matter of pride to come to such a large association as Djurgården. I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the supporters at Tele2 Arena. An exciting time awaits and I’m very hungry for the challenge – to come here and help the team to new victories, says Hümmet to Djurgården’s website.

Deniz Hümmet has previously represented Gefle, Trelleborg, Elfsborg, Caykur Rizespor and Kalmar at senior level. Bosse Andersson describes him as a forward who scores goals in different ways and who has been sought following abroad.

– Has always been an exciting and skilled forward, but in recent years has also developed his physical game and become more solid in his actions, as well as the fact that he is a really sharp finisher who often hits goals. Deniz has his best years ahead of him and with the experience he has gathered both in Allsvenskan and abroad in the past, he has every opportunity to become a reliable goalscorer in Djurgården as well, says Bosse to Djurgården’s website.
