Paris-Brussels-Dubai-Brazzaville-Paris-Marrakech. To convince investors, representatives of infrastructure projects supported by the African Economic and Monetary Community central (Cemac) do not count their plane hours. Last June, on the sidelines of the summit for and New global financial pact, Jean-Baptiste Ondaye, Minister of Economy and Finance of Congo and also chairman of the committee of pilot of the Economic and Financial Reform Program of Cemac (Pref-Cemac) had traveled to Paris with Michel-Cyr Djiena Wembou, permanent secretary of the institution.

Daniel Ona Ondo (Cemac): “We presented serious projects”

In their suitcases, thirteen “priority integrative projects” adopted on 17 mars, in Yaoundé, by the conference of Cemac heads of state: mainly roads, bridges and of electrical interconnection*. As a reminder, in 2020, the first program of integrative projects, which included eleven, had successful to raise 3.9 billion euros. The African Development Bank, Afreximbank and the Scandinavian Chamber of Commerce have provided each 25% of the total amount, or one billion euros. The remaining quarter was disbursed by the Banque (11.23%), the Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC, 13.51%) and SX Capital Holdings (0,5 %).
