A work by press photographer Denis Germain is among the finalists for the Antoine-Désilets 2022 prize from the Professional Federation of Journalists of Quebec (FPJQ).
The photographer of the arr. de Saint-Hubert, who also works for Gravité Média, produced this photo for La Presse+, as part of the inauguration evening of the Place Ville-Marie Ring, in September 2022.
Thanks to the unique point of view of the photograph titled L’ange bleu, the sway-pole artist seems to float in the Montreal sky, with the iconic Place Ville-Marie in the background, all bathed in blue light. .
Denis Germain is not his first distinction. In 2016, he won the Antoine-Désilets Prize in the News category. His photos have also been illustrated 11 times at the Grands Prix des Hebdos.
The Blue Angel photo will also be part of the next World Press Photo exhibition in Montreal.
