After having experienced a constant increase then a relative stagnation, the dengue epidemic is clearly decreasing in both Guadeloupe and Martinique. Conversely, if it tends to stagnate in Saint Barthélemy, it is still increasing in Saint Martin. Results recorded until December 7.
Concretely, the regional health agencies draw up the following findings for the four territories:
- After stabilization, the number of clinically suggestive cases decreases in equivalent proportions in Guadeloupe and Martinique.
In hospitals, the number of emergency room visits is also decreasing in Martinique, but it is increasing in Guadeloupe. - In Saint-Martin, the number of cases clinically suggestive of dengue is increasing once more (+70%);
- In Saint-Barthélemy, it is stabilizing, close to 85 cases per week. The number of visits to emergency departments has decreased by 50% in one week in Saint-Martin, but it is increasing once more in Saint-Barthélemy (+ 24%).
Guadeloupe :
