[Voice of Hope September 21, 2023](Comprehensive report by our reporter Li Hui) Deng Pufang, the son of the late leader of the Communist Party of China Deng Xiaoping, resigned as the honorary chairman of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation, and Zhang Haidi resigned as the chairman of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation. Deng Pufang’s withdrawal from the Disabled Persons’ Federation, which he founded and controlled for more than 30 years, is believed by some analysts to mean that the power of the Deng family has declined.

The Eighth National Congress of the Disabled Persons’ Federation concluded in Beijing yesterday (20th). 79-year-old Deng Pufang and 68-year-old Zhang Haidi both stepped down. Deng Pufang was replaced by 69-year-old Yang Xiaodu, a former member of Xi Jinping’s department, former member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. Serving as honorary chairman, Cheng Kai serves as chairman of the presidium, and Zhou Changkui, secretary of the party group of the Disabled Persons’ Federation, is re-elected as chairman.

Deng Pufang is Deng Xiaoping’s eldest son. He was born in 1944. He was persecuted during the Cultural Revolution, resulting in paralysis of his lower limbs. In 1975, he received a job opportunity and worked in the Administrative and Economic Management Division of the General Office of the Central Military Commission.

With Deng Xiaoping’s third comeback, Deng Pufang’s status has also been improved accordingly. In 1984, he was transferred to the position of vice chairman of the China Disabled Persons Welfare Foundation and became a deputy ministerial cadre. A year later, he was promoted to chairman; since 2006, he has been the president of the foundation.

In 1988, Deng Pufang founded the China Disabled Persons’ Federation and served as chairman of the first to fourth presidium for 20 years. Since December 1999, he has enjoyed ministerial-level medical treatment; in November 2001, he was officially designated as a minister-level cadre. In March 2008, he was elected vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and promoted to the position of national leader. In November of the same year, he was appointed as the honorary chairman of the Disabled Persons’ Federation, and the chairman was succeeded by Zhang Haidi, who was also paralyzed in his lower limbs.

Although the China Disabled Persons’ Federation is a comprehensive social organization that is semi-official and semi-private, according to Wikipedia, the China Disabled Persons’ Federation directly contacts the relevant leaders of the State Council of the Communist Party of China, accepts business guidance from relevant departments of the State Council, and has a separate account in the national plan. , and established business relationships with various provinces, regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and the outside world called it Deng Pufang’s “independent kingdom.”

In recent years, the CCP’s “removal of Deng and promotion of Xi” has become increasingly fierce.

In 2018, an art exhibition in Beijing depicted an old man “drawing a circle” in Shenzhen as Xi Zhongxun; and the “Reform and Opening Museum” in Shekou, Shenzhen, removed the relief of Deng Xiaoping and replaced the statue of Deng Xiaoping in the “Founding Leader” with Xi Jinping statue. People question how Xi Jinping, who was born in 1953, became the “founding leader” of the CCP in 1949. I even question whether this operation is too much flattery or a high-level blackmail?

Tang Jingyuan, a political commentator, believes that the second generation of red people is divided, and the conflict between Deng and Xi has become public. “Removing Deng and promoting Xi” is probably a high-level decision. This may be the reason for the renovation of the Shenzhen Museum.

Since then, there have been constant rumors of the Deng family’s confrontation with Xi Jinping and the breakup between the Xi and Deng families.

In September 2018, Deng Pufang said at the closing meeting of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation that he should keep a clear head, know his own weight, and neither be arrogant nor belittle oneself. After being accused of targeting Xi Jinping, the speech was blocked by the entire CCP network.

In May 2020, on the eve of the Two Sessions of the Communist Party of China, an open letter signed by Deng Pufang to representatives of the Two Sessions circulated on the Internet, raising 15 questions and targeting Xi Jinping. Including the CCP virus (Wuhan pneumonia) epidemic, turmoil in Hong Kong, continued tension and deterioration in Sino-US relations, the drifting apart between Taiwan and the mainland, unemployment within China, and the collapse of private enterprises, etc., demanding that the top leaders of the CCP be held accountable.

On September 29, 2020, on the eve of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, officials announced inspections of 32 provinces, cities and central agencies, including the China Disabled Persons’ Federation.

What makes this wave of personnel changes different from the past is that the newly appointed Liu Xiaodu is not a disabled person, but is also considered by the outside world to be a member of the Xi family army. In 2007, when Xi Jinping was appointed Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Yang Xiaodu was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, and was a subordinate of Xi Jinping.

Recently, as rumors of the investigation of Zhang Youxia, Vice Chairman of the CCP Military Commission, and Li Shangfu, Minister of Defense of the CCP, have been rampant, speculations regarding Xi Jinping’s purge of the second generation of red men have become rampant.
