NM1 – Saint-Vallier has completed its recruitment for the 2023/2024 season with the arrival of Ugandan strong winger Deng Geu.
Saint-Vallier has dug up his latest addition. Ugandan Deng Geu (2.03 m, 26 years old) is committed to the Drôme club for next season and closes the recruitment of the club. After an NCAA course at North Dakota State (2016/2019) then at North Texas (2019/2020), position 4 played this season under the colors of the Portuguese club Lusitania with whom he played in the playoffs. In 31 games, he compiled 13.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 0.6 assists for 15.3 rating in 28 minutes of play in 31 games.
Ugandan international, complete and athletic, he will bring his experience to the workforce of Philippe Namyst during the 2023-2024 financial year where the rise in Pro B will be the objective. “Extremely athletic post 4, Deng is a young player full of talent who comes to us from Lusitania in Portugal whom he brought to the Play-offs and semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup for the first time in his history. A complete player capable of shooting 3-pointers as well as attacking the circle to finish with a smash, he will bring all his energy to push us to the heights…”, said his new coach.
