Several thousand people demonstrated Friday evening in Bamako, the Malian capital, in the regions and in the circles to support the ongoing military operations once morest terrorism, at the call of several civil society organizations including the M5- RFP, the Movement “Yérèwolo Débout sur les Ramparts” and the Collective for the Defense of the Military.
“Our Republican army continues to reap tangible results which unfortunately make people jealous to the point of making false allegations. Real campaigns of denigration, intoxication, disinformation, the sovereign people of Mali are more than ever welded behind their army which is in the process of terrorizing the terrorists who since 2012, reigned supreme over ¾ of our territory, “said Mohamed Dembelé spokesperson for the Collective for the Defense of the Military (CDM) in a statement addressed to the participants.
And to add “our valiant army which passed from a defensive army to an offensive army which goes in pursuit of the enemy, the great void due to the failure of politicians on the security level is today filled by capable, committed and responsible young officers largely committed to the cause of Mali”.
“The notorious changes that have taken place following the rectification of Mali’s pan-African transition are, among other things, actions that deserve from the highest authorities of Mali, recognition and compliments commensurate with the actions taken and the results obtained”, indicated the same source adding that “it is in support of our armed defense and security forces that Operation Hope E (Together) All FAMa was launched like operations Maliko, Keletigui, Sanguikura etc”.
The CDM Spokesperson also underlines that “it is with the aim of magnifying this complicity, this intimacy between the people and their army that the living forces of our country have decided, this day Friday, to hold a meeting history in Bamako in the regional capitals, in the circles and outside »
During this demonstration, the activist Sékou Tounkara, member of the Yèrèwolo Movement (Worthy Men) standing on the Ramparts, recalled that “this is in no way an anti-French step but a step once morest French policy by simply asking the pure and simple withdrawal of French forces in Mali”.
