The protestors demanded a transparent investigation into the case of illegal marriage following the alleged abduction of a minor girl on January 20, 2024 so that such incidents do not happen once more.

The protestors have demanded that the girl be recovered immediately and produced before the court. Use valid medical and legal methods to determine the child’s age.

The doctor should be investigated to find out how he determined the age of the girl and issued the certificate, and action should also be taken once morest the doctor for professional misconduct.

The protestors have demanded that an investigation be conducted once morest the police officers who have been accused by the girl’s parents to ensure accountability. In this regard, review the legal and administrative arrangements to identify preventive measures to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future. An investigation should be conducted as to why the police might not take any credible action for two months despite registering an FIR.

The protesters have demanded the Peshawar High Court to form an inquiry commission to investigate the magistrate who recorded the statement of 164. The protestors have expressed their determination to continue the protest until the victim’s family gets justice.
