A member of the “Democratic Gathering” bloc, Representative Wael Abu Faour, Director of the College of Public Health in the Bekaa and Rashaya, handed Ihsan Ayoub the first financial contribution from the Progressive Party to complete the current academic year and secure what the college needs in light of these difficult circumstances, in the presence of professors University, staff and administrators.
He pointed out that he “contacted with the president of the Lebanese University, Bassam Badran, and followed up with him the needs of the college,” stressing that “we will have our own effort in this region to ensure the continuity of the Kamal Jumblatt Educational Complex, and we are working with exceptional effort in the College of Business Administration.” Or in the Faculty of Health, or in the Kanam Institute and the Agricultural School, or in the Conservatoire Institute and the Rashaya Development Institute, and we will not allow any of these educational edifices to be closed.”
And he hoped that “things will improve in Lebanon, that a president will be elected, and that the Lebanese University will restore its role like other state institutions,” promising “measures that will help the complex rise in the coming days.” He pointed out, “This is a modest first financial contribution today, and we are ready to contribute once more so that the academic year can pass and basic supplies are secured.”
