It happened in the event “Mística Talleres”. In a hotel in the city of Córdoba, the Talleres women’s and men’s teams (also the reserve) and the club’s president, Andres FassiHe spoke to them for regarding two hours. In his address, the leader used words to describe the sports project and ponder the values that the institution believes cannot be waived.
Among the many specific mentions that Fassi made (he spoke directly to the faces of several players on the squad), he stopped at the coach Javier Gandolfi.
He praised him strongly: “I thank you Javier because you have had difficult times. As an institutional DT that you are and today, that you are not interim, perhaps at some point, you will have to look for a Martín Demichelis to be your field assistant. This is left here. I ask you please not to leave here. We are only 600. I hope not. Gandolfi’s attitude, of having a chance to go to a big institution like River and having to stay with us, is very satisfying. In that mention, in a joking tone, Fassi threw out the name of Demichelis, River’s coach, who at the end of 2022 wanted to add Gandolfi to manage the post-Gallardo era. Even Gandolfi himself laughed (seen in the video above).
Obviously Fassi’s joke was not understood beyond the room in which it was said by the leader. Before, even, he tried to joke regarding Diego Valoyes and it had not gone well either.
However, these statements by Fassi regarding Demichelis deserved a response from Jorge Brito, president of River and from Demichelis himself, once the victory once morest Racing for the Argentine Cup was consummated.

He filled with messages and calls to my representative. And he did it to me too. I get on what Brito said: as a Cordovan, he is a very bad joke teller, ”the DT retorted.
