Demi Vollering won the Flèche Wallonne at the end of a controlled race where she showed that she was the strongest, notably achieving a very big last climb of the Mur de Huy. Liane Lippert takes second place, ahead of Gaia Realini.
A group of six riders took the lead at the start of the race but were caught back 43km from the finish with two more climbs of the Mur de Huy.
van Vleuten puts a big tempo in the second ascent and a group of 4 breaks away with Moolman, Unknown et Longo Borghini.
Reusser does the job for SD Worx to bring the band back behind but it’s ultimately full ring who made a big effort to come back regarding thirty kilometers from the finish.
