Demanding Hostage Exchange Agreement, Protesters Block Road to Netanyahu’s Office

The Walla news site said protesters placed ballot boxes on the street to demand early elections and advocate a hostage exchange.

The site confirmed that police forcibly dispersed protesters and detained seven people.
Rabbis from the far-right Religious Zionism party previously urged Netanyahu to explore all options to secure the return of hostages being held in Gaza. Even if it requires a negotiation process.
The request followed a warning from Abu Obaida, a spokesman for Hamas’ military wing, the Qassam Brigades, who said he did not rule out the possibility of Israeli prisoners in Gaza entering dark tunnels, pointing to the complexity of the situation and uncertainty regarding their rights and future.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has expressed concern over the escalating humanitarian and political crises in Gaza and Lebanon while condemning violations of international law.
Guterres warned that Gaza was entering its second year of a devastating crisis and called it a nightmare marked by humanitarian, political, diplomatic and moral collapse.
He also highlighted the enormous suffering, noting that more than 41,000 Palestinians were killed, mostly women and children, and that thousands remained missing under the rubble.
Guterres condemned violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza and stressed the important role of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), warning against Israeli legislation that could limit its contribution and worsen an already dire situation.
He also raised concerns about escalating conflict in Lebanon, warning of the potential for all-out war as Israeli attacks have killed more than 2,000 people and displaced more than 1 million. (Trtworld/Z-6)
