Delivery service towed away: Police deliver pizza

A rather strange action by the police in the English community of Colchester: On Tuesday evening, patrol officers stopped a car that, after a quick check, turned out to be uninsured.

Unfortunately, it was the car of a delivery service that had plenty of “hot goods” on board. So the officials quickly decided to deliver the pizzas themselves – which is probably quite unique in this form.

In a statement, a spokesman for the department said the pizza was still hot when it reached the completely astonished customers. The police had previously agreed to split up: one for the tow truck, one for bringing food.

Hashtag #MoreThanCrimeFighters just filled with life

Essex Police posted on Facebook: “Officers have also submitted the necessary documentation to enable the driver of the uninsured vehicle to explain his decision to drive without insurance in court.”

Things are likely to be expensive for him. But above all it is the police in Colchester with the action managed to bring the hashtag #MoreThanCrimeFighters to life in a pretty cool way.
