Delivery of the “Glorious Independence” bonus has begun

The government of Nicolás Maduro announced that the “Glorious Independence” bonus will be delivered between July 6 and 13. This subsidy is in honor of July 5, the date on which the Declaration of Independence of Venezuela is commemorated.

Authorities reported on the Bono Social de X account (formerly Twitter) that this bonus has a value of 180 bolivars, equivalent to 5 dollars, according to the rate published by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).

The beneficiaries of the bonus will receive a text message through the number 3532 or can verify the deposit through their Patria System accounts, according to the information published on the Patria Channel of Telegram.

What is the “Glorious Independence” bonus for?

The amount of the Gloriosa Independencia bond would be enough to buy only 12% of the Petare basket, which is located at 1,523 bolivarswhich is equivalent to 42 dollars, according to the Venezuelan Financial Observatory (OVF).

The products in the Petare Basket for July 2024 are priced as follows:

-A carton of 30 eggs: 180 bolivars or $4.93

-A package of corn flour: 48 bolivars or $1.31

-One kilogram of white cheese: 190 bolivars or $5.21

-One kilogram of meat: 320 bolivars or $8.77

-A package of coffee: 480 bolivars or $13.16

-A package of rice: 65 bolivars or $1.78

-One liter of oil: 175 bolivars or $4.80

-A packet of sugar: 65 bolivars or $1.78

Venezuelans would need more than eight “Glorious Independence” vouchers to be able to buy a complete Cesta Petare. This subsidy is only enough for products that cost less than 5 dollars, such as: a carton of 30 eggs, a packet of corn flour, a liter of cooking oil, a packet of sugar or a packet of rice.

Currently, the minimum wage remains at 130 bolivars, equivalent to 3.57 dollars.

How to collect Patria System bonuses?

To collect the bonuses, it is not necessary to have a physical Homeland Card, the only requirement is to be registered on the Patria platform.

Another option is to enter the Patria System through the portal www.patria.org.ve or through the veMonedero app, which provides direct access to the platform.

To collect the subsidy, the user must follow these steps:

-Log in to the Patria System website.

-Click on the wallet and then select the “withdrawal of funds” option.

-Go to the source wallet, choose the amount and destination of the funds.

-Click the “continue” button and then select “accept”.
