Asunción, IP Agency.- The Government of Paraguay continues with the distribution of the 250 patrol boats acquired through resources from Itaipu Binacional. “These patrols are an example of the Government’s commitment to providing security to all Paraguayans,” said Vice President Pedro Alliana.
It was at the delivery of 10 patrol boats in the governorate of the department of Ñeembucú, held yesterday, Wednesday, the day in which 15 were also delivered in Itapúa. This Thursday, more patrol cars are delivered to the departments of San Pedro and Concepción.
At the event in Ñeembucú, the vice president highlighted the importance of this investment to improve the quality of life of the country’s inhabitants.
«These patrols are an example of the Government’s commitment to providing security to all Paraguayans. With them, we are taking an important step in the fight against organized crime,” he said.
For his part, the Governor of Ñeembucú, Víctor Hugo Fornerón, thanked the National Government and Itaipú Binacional for the support.
“These new patrols will allow us to strengthen the police presence throughout the department and respond more efficiently to the needs of citizens,” he said.
