Sauerkraut from Alsace new raw lends itself to many recipes. Between heat and back to school, we share our recipe with you: the Salad of new IGP Alsace sauerkraut, grilled apples, bacon bits and pumpkin seeds. Enjoy your food !
This recipe originated from one of those one kilo jars of new sauerkraut, the presence of a Gala or Natti apple when there are some in the kitchen, bacon bits and of course pumpkin seeds… In the facts, we combine all this…. and here is an entry for two people.
Ingredients :
250 grams of raw IGP Alsace Sauerkraut
1/2 Gala or Natti d’Alsace apple as soon as it hits your shelves
40 to 50 grams of bacon
30 grams of organic pumpkin seeds
Oil
Melfor Vinegar
Alélor mustard
Salt pepper
Your new PGI Alsatian Sauerkraut Salad
Recipes
Wash your sauerkraut, eliminate the extra water (to facilitate the mixing to come, cut the fibers that are too long). Reserve it in a container.
Cook your bacon bits and pumpkin seeds in a pan (until they brown)… A little oil of your choice is necessary
Prepare the vinaigrette for your salad (olive oil, Melfor vinegar, Alélor d’Alsace mustard, salt and pepper). Mix all the ingredients and pour them into the bottom of a salad bowl.
Place the sauerkraut on the sauce, the seeds and the bacon bits.
Mix and serve.
