WE RECOMMEND YOU: Ministry of Health will begin vaccination campaign for the winter season

Vaccine against Influenza and COVID-19

The head of the Ministry of Health was present at this event, who highlighted that the Influenza vaccine is aimed mainly at people with chronic-degenerative diseases, pregnant women, adults over 60 and health personnel.

On the other hand, the application of the COVID-19 vaccine will be a priority for citizens who do not have any doses. This vaccine can be given to children from five years of age, people with diabetes, morbid obesity; as well as those who suffer from lung or cardiovascular diseases or who suffer from immunosuppression.

Vaccination Rally: Delfina Gomez Leads the Charge!

Well, folks, it seems the Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gomez Alvarez, has donned her superhero cape—or should I say, her vaccination gown? She recently received both the Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines, claiming it’s all about “protecting the health of Mexican citizens.” Sounds noble, doesn’t it? But I can’t help but think, if only we could vaccinate politicians against bad decisions as effectively!

Winter is Coming. Get Vaccinated!

So why the urgency, you ask? Well, according to Ms. Gomez—who, by the way, I assume is now fully qualified to give out weather advice along with her medical tips—winter is upon us. And with it comes the delightful duo of influenza and COVID-19 knocking on our doors like an unwanted relative. The governor advises us to “avoid temperature changes, dress warmly, and have a balanced diet.” Because if I don’t eat my greens, apparently my next sneeze could launch a virus all the way to Timbuktu!

Unleashing the Vaccination Campaign

During this stellar event at the Government Palace, which sounds posh—like the Mexican version of Downton Abbey, if Downton Abbey had a health crisis—the governor and her cabinet were vaccinated together. It’s like a poorly shot sitcom where everybody suddenly remembers they need to protect themselves! And who knew they’d be getting their shots in style?

Teacher Delfina—because let’s not forget, she’s also a teacher—emphasized that her government’s goal is to shield citizens “physically and mentally.” So, hold on, does this mean we’ll also be getting free therapy sessions with our vaccines? Because that sounds like a deal I can get behind!

Who’s Eligible for This Vaccination Fiesta?

The head of the Ministry of Health waltzed in during this event to clarify who’s at the top of the vaccination food chain. “Chronic-degenerative diseases”, pregnant women, those over 60, and health personnel—basically, those who could be in line for a spot on ‘Survivor: Health Edition.’ And let’s not forget about the invincible children from five years old up—because nothing says ‘have fun’ like a needle to the arm followed by a lollipop!

But wait! There’s more! Citizens who haven’t received any doses of the COVID-19 vaccine yet will be prioritized. If you’ve got comorbidities or conditions like diabetes or morbid obesity—which let’s be honest, we’ve all felt the temptation during a Netflix binge—better get your vaccine sorted!

A Marathon, Not a Sprint

The Government of the State of Mexico is committing to this vaccination extravaganza until March 2025—yes, you heard that right! So if you miss the chance now, don’t worry, you’ve got another two years to get your shot. It’s like the long-awaited sequel to a movie that no one wanted in the first place!

The governor is encouraging everyone to visit their nearest health center. Remember, folks, a queasy cough closer to the flu might just make you famous for all the wrong reasons. Let’s leave the dramatic coughs for the theatre, shall we?

For more gripping updates—because what’s more riveting than health announcements?—you can follow the State of Mexico Day on WhatsApp. Because really, who doesn’t want real-time alerts about vaccines?

In conclusion, let’s all take a leaf from Delfina’s book. Get your vaccines, stay warm, eat healthy, and maybe even pick up a hobby while you endure this health campaign. After all, laughter might just be the best medicine—right after that snazzy shot in your arm!
