The executive vice president of Venezuela and Minister of Petroleum, Delcy Rodríguez, met this Tuesday with the president of Vietnam, Luong Cuong, during her official visit to the Indochinese country with the aim of strengthening relations.

Both representatives met in a room of the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, presided over by the effigy of the revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh and the flags of both countries, according to images published by the Vietnamese official press.

Rodríguez arrived in Vietnam on Monday night to “strengthen investment and work ties” in oil, agriculture, telecommunications and other areas, the vice president indicated on her Telegram channel.

Investments

During the visit, Venezuela and Vietnam will also address investment links in other areas such as construction, health, culture and tourism, thus consolidating – she stressed – their historical relationship, which reaches 35 years, indicated the Venezuelan.

On October 19, the vice president met in Caracas with the Vietnamese ambassador to Venezuela, Vu Trung My, to “strengthen commercial cooperation and reaffirm the willingness between both nations and thus increase commercial exchange,” according to the Venezuelan state channel. VTV.

VTV mentioned that Venezuela and Vietnam seek to increase commercial exchange based on the agreements signed last April in areas such as energy and construction, without providing more details.

The representative of Caracas arrived in Hanoi after visiting India, where she met with the Indian Minister of Petroleum, Hardeep Singh Puri, to find formulas to take advantage of the investment of Indian companies in her country, largely related to the exploration and production of raw.
