the vice president Delcy Rodriguez reported this Thursday night that the country added 2,086 new coronavirus infections. He detailed via Twitter that 2,060 are cases of community transmission and 26 imported.

The data offered points to Caracas as the entity that in the last hours registers the largest number of new community cases (781) with active infections in its 22 parishes; followed by the states: Miranda (291), Sucre (152) and Aragua (109).

The official also reported the death of 3 people: 1 88-year-old woman from Caracas, 1 73-year-old woman from La Guaira, and 1 61-year-old man from Zulia.

With the new data, these are the statistics in the country:

– Total infections: 463,145

– Recovered patients: 442,217 (95%)

– Current active cases: 15,533

– Total deaths: 5,395

As the president has said Nicholas Maduro, we have the necessary doses to vaccinate our people, but we cannot trust ourselves. The call is to always take care of yourself and protect yourself to avoid the increase in infections due to the circulation of the omicron variant in the country,” he concluded.
