The Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, assured that the fire in the warehouse of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (Ivss) in Antímano “was caused.”

“Already today, with evidence in hand, we can say that this fire was caused, it was not an accident. We are following the criminals, and we are going to catch them. There has to be justice”, assured Rodríguez in statements offered to VTV.

He stressed that “a perverse mind is behind this, a dialysis patient fails in therapy and dies, that is why we have reservations.”

He also accused the “Venezuelan far right” of being behind what happened, since “(it seeks) to achieve -through violence and sabotage- what they have not been able to with unilateral coercive measures.”

He pointed out that “health is a strategic objective of these criminals”, since it represents a highly sensitive issue and a human right.

Health is a supreme value of the life of the Venezuelan people, an inalienable right, an inalienable right, and President Maduro has guaranteed medicines and supplies,” he said.

“Extremists do not spare the happiness of our people and their resilience. This is one more page of the criminal file of the extremists, of those who seek the suffering of the Venezuelan people,” said Rodríguez.

Finally, he assured that today a shipment will arrive in the country with the purpose of maintaining medicine reserves, as well as replenishing supplies “as President Maduro has instructed, of everything that is necessary to continue dialyzing and continue preserving health. from town”.

Last Monday the fire devoured one of the Ivss warehouses where they had supplies for hemodialysis and dialysis patients. At that time, the Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, declared that the authorities would initiate the pertinent investigations and did not rule out that it was sabotage.

On Tuesday, medical supplies arrived in the country to give continuity to the dialysis program in the national territory, which serves seven thousand patients.
