The head of the Syndicate of Workers and Distributors in the Gas and Gas Supplies Sector in Lebanon, Farid Zainoun, denounced, in a statement, “the failure to issue the price installation schedule at 6 am and its late issuance, which impedes the work of gas distributors.” Zainoun considered that “the delay in the price schedule by 4 hours from its usual date constitutes Significant damage to the interests of gas distributors who work to distribute bottles in all regions early, and this matter became stumbling on the days of the caretaker Minister of Energy, Walid Fayyad, knowing that we have repeatedly alerted the ministry to address this defect.
He believed that “the delay in the issuance of the price-installation schedule has no technical or administrative justification except in the so-called administrative chaos and lack of organization, and this is what is borne in the first degree by the General Directorate of Oil and in the second degree by the Minister of Energy, who has to control the administrative situation in his ministry and urge the employees to complete the work.” They work reasonably well.”
He concluded: “If the ministry continues to issue the price-installation schedule, the union will take escalatory steps to be announced at the end of the week.”
