Indonesian badminton men’s DOUBLE Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto are focused on restoring stamina ahead of the last 16 of the 2024 Artic Open.

“For tomorrow’s match, of course we will recover first to restore our stamina, and carry out an evaluation with our partners and coaches, after that we will return to focus on facing the round of 16 tomorrow,” said Rian, quoted from PP PBSI’s statement, Wednesday (9/10 ).

In the round of 32 held in Finland, Fajar/Rian recorded a victory over the Taiwanese pair Fang-Chih Lee/Fang-Jen Lee in two games 21-13 and 22-20.

“Thank God, the first round match at the 2024 Arctic Open went smoothly, and we were able to win today’s match,” said Fajar.

Regarding obstacles on the field, the fourth seed said they had tried to adapt to the weather in Finland which was quite cold, as well as the shuttlecock’s fairly slow pace.

“Maybe the weather in Finland this time is quite cold, but we have tried to adapt in the past two days, then the shuttlecock’s pace is a little heavier or slower, maybe this is due to the influence of the cold weather here,” said Fajar.

Furthermore, regarding the course of the match, Fajar/Rian said that the opponents played quite well, especially in terms of defense.

“However, when we were behind at 20-18 points, we tried to be more calm and patient in our attacks and Alhamdulillah the result
“We were able to win the match,” said Fajar.

“Even though we are behind, we continue to communicate about how we can get out of the opponent’s pressure and win
