Jojo, as Jonatan Christie is known, won in two straight games with a score of 21-14, 21-16 in 16 at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center, Ningbo, China, Thursday (11/4).
“Praise God for getting through the second half of the match quite well,” said Jojo in his statement.
In that match, Jojo said, his party was able to adapt to the conditions of the field and shuttlecock.
“From this match there are provisions for facing tomorrow’s match. So the picture is more open than yesterday,” he said.
“Starting tomorrow it looks like the championship will use two courts. So from today’s match, the atmosphere, the wind and the shuttlecocks, I can already get the picture,” he added.
For tomorrow’s match, Jojo predicts that the match will be difficult. Because, he will face Malaysia’s representative, Lee Zii Jia.
“Facing Lee Zii Jia tomorrow, of course it won’t be easy. Moreover, in the last meeting I also lost. Starting tomorrow, I’ll just assume it’s going to zero once more,” he concluded. (Ndf)
