Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk beat Russian Anastasia Potapova 6-0, 7-5 to advance to the semifinals of the Indian Wells Masters, Thursday (14/3).
Kostyuk appeared dominant in the first set to win in just 22 minutes.
The second set looked to be going the same way as the Ukrainian went 3-0 up before Potapova managed to take a game.
Potapova then broke Kostyuk’s serve so the second set looked like it would be a tight affair.
“Scores of 6-0 and 3-0 are some of the worst scores in the world,” said Kostyuk, who led 5-3 in the second set before his serve was broken once more.
However, Kostyuk finally ended the match by breaking Potapova’s serve to advance to the semifinals of her first 1000 level tournament.
