Asunción, IP Agency.- Within the framework of the Government’s Social Protection System, 111 medical care was provided to children and adults and 27 dental interventions were carried out within the “Zero Caries” program; in addition to 40 vaccinations and the distribution of milk from the PANI program to 31 children and 5 pregnant women.
It was during the comprehensive health day held at Basic School No. 15,407, in the indigenous community Mbói Ka’e, in the district of Alto Verá, department of Itapúa.
The activity was carried out by the Regional Coordinations of Indigenous Health, Primary Health Care and the Regional Department of Health Promotion, with the support of the staff of the Caronay Health Post.
As part of the preventive actions, 14 tests for VDRL, HIV and hepatitis B were carried out, as well as a talk on the importance of early control of breast cancer, within the framework of the Pink October campaign.
Within the Zero Hunger program, an educational talk on healthy eating was also held; in addition to monitoring the school cafeteria, verifying the water supply and supervising the community’s health services.
The event was held within the framework of the Social Protection System of the National Government in order to provide assistance to vulnerable districts.
